Festival of Tastes
Caulfield Junior College is proud to announce the First Edition of its ‘Festival of Tastes’ in 2022.
Inspired from the 30-year-old French event “La Semaine du Goût”, this week-long program will be entirely dedicated to food, nutrition, the discovery of textures, tastes and smells through school activities, menus, workshops and community events for kids and adults alike. This festival aims to bring together the school and local community, particularly through the involvement of food businesses around Melbourne.
Get involved!
For food professionals wanting to share your passion and savoir-faire.
There are multiple ways you can be involved in the festival and share your passion for food with the local school community and maybe inspire the future chefs of tomorrow!
Food education for Kids
Incursion
Host a 1-hour workshop with a class of children. Talk about your job, your cooking/baking/art, share your love of good food and savoir faire, demonstrate your culinary skills and get kids to test their own.
Excursion
Give a group of students a tour of your food business premises, an overview of your products and processes and even get them to make or taste your creations.
For Parents & Locals

Dining
Let us book the chef’s table for a special evening degustation event for a party of 8-12 adults.
Cooking
Host a cooking workshop or demo for parents.
Promote
Advertise your business by giving away a voucher or food related goods for our Fundraiser Raffle.
eg. A dinner for 2, a food hamper, a voucher for your food business.
Signature Closing Event
We will be organising a celebratory closing event in the school – you can book a stall, and/or even organise a workshop or masterclass! The closing event will be open to the whole school and local community and provides a great opportunity to advertise your business.
Partner with us and help us organise a memorable week that kids (and their tastebuds) will remember!
